My name is Celestine Degboe. I am originally from Benin, West Africa. This site is dedicated to my testimony and how I got delivered from Eckankar Religion in 2012.  Please watch my video and share the word. Thank you for watching!

Membership in Eckankar

I officially became a member of eckankar after attending their African Seminar in Lagos, Nigeria in 1991. At this time, I was already healed from my illness but of course it wasn't truly a healing because they deceived me into thinking they healed me but they simply hid the illness they had  put in my body to recruit me. Membership is not the same for all members. The standard fee is $ 120 every year. Members from Africa pay $50 dollars. Like any other church, they make donation to eckankar, not openly like Christian churches, but secretly via direct deposit. When donation is not made, mahanta shows up in their dreams to remind them. I was harassed several times for not making donations on time. Once you become member, mahanta takes charge of your whole existence materially, physically, and spiritually. Everything is done behind the scene. Countries in West Africa such as Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, and Togo have the highest number of members because they are easy target. They surrender very quickly to the mahanta the spiritual leader who protect them against the influence of the black magic, but in reality, mahanta is the mastermind behind this black magic and members' sufferings. As an agent of Satan, mahanta is here to steal, kill, and destroy. My personal experiences are a pure illustration of the true life of an eckist (member of eckankar) and will help you understand better the reality of eckankar. During the first two years in eckankar, the eckist's life changes for the better and immediate problems are solved. After that, things start getting worse and the spiritual leader warns members of the difficulties ahead if they leave eckankar. But JESUS is the Savior and the Deliverer. Even though eckankar sees Jesus as a dead master and son of evil, it cannot stand the name "JESUS" nor the "BLOOD of JESUS." When you listen to Harold’s talks or read his books, you will notice that he often refers to verses taken from the Christian Holy Bible while describing “Divine Love.”

JESUS was with me during my sufferings, torture, and the sufferings of my family. He knew he will deliver us, he knew one day he will instruct me to tell my story to the world. Yes HE is ALIVE. I give all the Glory to our LORD JESUS CHRIST!

What is Eckankar?

What is Eckankar?

Eckankar is called Religion of Light and Sound of GOD.  Eckankar teaches about Dreams, Past Lives and Soul Travel or out-of body- experiences. The teachings have two facets: inner teachings and outer teachings. The inner teachings or secret teachings are the cornerstone of eckankar. That is where occult practices and rituals unknown to the members take place. Members cannot travel alone in the inner or spiritual worlds of eckankar. They are always followed by the spiritual leader and the only thing they experience is love. The love they experience called "divine love", consumes their whole being and they cannot do anything by themselves. The full title of the spiritual leader is the mahanta, the living eck master. Mahanta is his spiritual title. The current spiritual leader is Harold Klemp. He is also the dream master or inner master. He lives in Minneapolis Minnesota, home of eckankar headquarters. 

The second facet of the eck teachings is the outer teachings. Eck means holy spirit in eckankar. The outer teachings consist in seminars, worship services, classes, and all kind of activities to recruit people. In reality, all these activities are "cover ups" because the spiritual leader cannot perform any healing or any miracle in the physical world front of people like JESUS did by walking on water, healing and resurrecting people. As outer master, Harold Klemp writes books, discourses, and speaks at majors seminars. Discourses are series of lessons sent to members only.  They must study one lesson every month and participate to group discussion. Eckankar holds regional seminars around the world and two major seminars in Minneapolis Convention Center every year, Easter week-end and approximately 3^rd week end of October. Harold Klemp works from home, signs documents and apparently appears on public twice a year to speak at major seminars. The President of eckankar, Peter Skelskey, has been given lots of power to lead the church. Eckankar is not like any other religion where you can communicate freely with your pastor, no. The spiritual leader meets members in their dreams to solve their problems but they are never aware of what really takes place.

Eckankar also has ancient ECK Masters who operate like angels. These Masters are not always in human flesh, but they appear to members in their dreams. One of them is called Rebazar Tarzs. He is said to be over 500 years old, is in his physical body, and appears as 25 years old and rescues members of Eckankar in time of need.

Initiation in Eckankar

There are always 2 initiations in eckankar: inner initiation and outer initiation. Members are not aware of what take place in their dreams during the inner initiation with the spiritual leader. They wake up very happy, feeling bonded with the master, not knowing that they consumed human blood and human flesh. After I left eckankar, the spiritual leader confessed to me that initiation in eckankar is all about human blood. Members are now bonded to the spiritual leader and cannot leave him unless they come to Jesus Christ.  Members are now covenanted with the Master through by his blood. After this ceremony in dreams, a pink slip is sent to the member acknowledging that he or she is ready for the outer initiation. The outer initiation is like a cover up, where a member of clergy meets the new initiate for formal ceremony. The member of clergy reads from the Shariyat Ki Sugmad, the Bible of eckankar, and then, gives a secret word to the new initiate.

The spiritual leader was forced to open the secrets doors of eckankar to me because he said God wants me to become the next spiritual leader therefore, he must prepare me. Beside the normal initiation, he had a secret covenant with me by introducing something bloody inside me in 1995. There are 14 levels of initiation in eckankar. When members reach the fifth initiation, they become higher initiate or members of the clergy. 

How I Joined Eckankar

I was born and raised as Christian Catholic. I was very devoted to my church. In my early age, I was among the scripter readers and was also singing in the choir. I was attending church and taking communion every morning, before going to work. The Church became part of my life. In 1991, I was working as Comptroller and Analyst at the Post Office, and all the sudden, I was strike by blindness. It is not hereditary. I was devastated and looked for solutions everywhere including church, hospitals. Doctors could not determine the exact cause of my illness and could not heal me.  My friend, who was out the country for a year, returned and was surprised to see me sick. She said not to worry that she discovered a new religion called eckankar that can resolve all my problems. That is how I was introduced to eckankar, a religion unknown to me. My friend said all I have to do is to practice their spiritual exercises by singing the word HU, call upon the spiritual leader of eckankar, Harold Klemp, and ask him for help, that he will heal me. She also said to visualize Harold Klemp in his picture while sing HU. I spent hours singing HU because I needed help. Most of the time, when a disease of the magnitude strikes, you take anything that is offered to you. According to eckankar, HU is an ancient name for God, and eck means Holy Spirit. But in reality, HU is a satanic music and means God of authoritative utterance or divine command.  The Spiritual Leader teaches his followers in dreams. He is also called the Dream Master. After I left eckankar, he said eck is not the true Holy Spirit.

After singing HU for a week, Harold Klemp, the spiritual leader appeared in my dreams and healed me and I had my sight back. I was thrilled to have my sight restored and decided to join the religion right away. I would like to mention that later, it was revealed to me that the blindness I had was given to me by eckankar as a tactic to recruit me. More details will be given as we move forward.

 While I was eager to join eckankar, I was facing a dilemma because I didn’t how to detach myself from Catholic Church. In the mist of such confusion, One night, I saw a man that presented himself to me exactly like Jesus Christ in my dreams. 2^ND Corinthians 11:14 stated: “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.”  The man I saw started smiling at me and told me that his spiritual works with him was over, that I must follow eckankar. I was relieved and confident that Eckankar was my new spiritual path. That is how I was deceived by Satan and walked away from my Catholic Church to follow eckankar. Revelations 12: 9 also described Satan as the deceiver of the whole world. Many members told me that they were introduced in eckankar by Jesus. It is now that, after discovering the dark secrets of eckankar, I realized that the person who appeared to me in my dreams was not Jesus. The leader of Eckankar has the power to appear to each member in their dreams as their previous spiritual leader or looking like Jesus. Thus, many have received the confirmation to leave their religion to join eckankar. They create a scenario that will show you that your current religion can no longer help you, that eckankar has the answers to all your problems.  In my case, the scenario was the illness because in 2012, my Pastor, Bishop Fatai Jubril told me that Eckankar gave me the illness in order to recruit me. The spiritual leader agreed.

The spiritual leader opened the secrets doors to me because he wanted me to be the next spiritual leader. He could not show me everything because I was too afraid. After I left eckankar in 2012, the spiritual leader confessed everything to my Pastor because he cannot stand the blood of Jesus. When one is filled with the Holy Spirit, the truth must come out, every tongue must confess.

The Secret Blood Covenant Between Me and Harold Klemp

In eckankar, each member has a private and unique relationship with the spiritual leader and must observe the law of silence. Members are not allowed to share their spiritual experiences with the spiritual leader, Harold Klemp, with anyone.

Everything happens in the dream state and members must carry out instructions received in dreams. In 1995 Harold Klemp gave me the dream to move from my native country Benin Republic, West Africa, a French Country, to the United States and I did.  A year later, in 1996, one night Harold Klemp came in my bedroom and told me that I will become the next eck master. He then introduced something bloody inside me without my consent and said not to never say anything about it to anyone. Once he introduced this "satanic device inside me, he told me that I will give birth to two children. After I left the church in 2012, Pastor Jubril said eckankar had a covenant with me and wanted me to become their next spiritual leader. He said without the covenant, they can never get to me. After months of prayers, the Holy Spirit told me that the bloody device Harold Klemp introduced inside was the covenant he had with me without my consent and knowledge. Thanks to our LORD JESUS who broke the covenant through Bishop Jubril during my deliverance. The spiritual leader confessed everything to my Pastor because he cannot stand the blood of Jesus. When one is filled with the Holy Spirit, the truth must come out, every tongue must confess. Again, I would like to acknowledge the hard works Pastor Jubril and Prophetess Mary did on me.
